What is the Wage Protection System?

The Wage Protection System is an electronic system for processing and monitoring salary payments. It helps improve the efficiency of wage payments and the accuracy of related data, while supporting compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ensuring that your company’s or establishment’s details held by the Bank are correct is an essential step towards completing registration requirements and linking salary payments to the correct company or establishment file.

What do you need to do now?

1- Check your company or establishment file number

Make sure the number held by the Bank matches your company’s or establishment’s file number registered with the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) and consists of 9 digits.

2- Confirm or update your details

Access Salary Services, review your company’s or establishment’s details and have the authorized user confirm or update the file number.

3- Complete the registration request and track its status

Review and confirm the accuracy of the registration details before submitting the request. The self-onboarding request undergoes verification and approval in accordance with the applicable user permissions, then is forwarded to the WPS interface to complete registration. Track its status through Salary Services Verify Information.

How to access Salary Services

You can access Salary Services through the channel your company or establishment uses with the Bank:

• Corporate Internet Banking: Commercial Bank of Kuwait will receive and process WPS information update requests for users without Master User permissions. Users with Master User permissions can submit their update requests directly to the Wage Protection System
• Business Island Machine: After you submit a salary transfer request through the Salaries menu, CBK will initiate the WPS information update on your behalf

What is required for registration?

Registration in the Wage Protection System requires the following information:

• The account number designated for salary payments
• The 9-digit Company or establishment file number registered with PAM
• Email address and mobile number
• Review and acknowledgement of the accuracy of the company or establishment details displayed before submitting the request

Once submitted, a reference number is generated to track the application. The request undergoes verification and approval in accordance with the applicable user permissions, then is forwarded to the WPS interface to complete registration. Using salary services requires approved registration and service availability on the channel used.

Does confirming or updating the file number complete WPS registration?

No. Confirming or updating the company or establishment file number is a preliminary step. Registration is completed by submitting a registration application and obtaining approval.

My company or establishment file number is already correct. Do I need to change it?

No change to a correct number is needed. Please verify that it consists of 9 digits and matches the number registered with PAM, then confirm it through Salary Services.

Is this information only relevant to users responsible for salaries?

No. This information is relevant to all Corporate Internet Banking users, including those without salary-related roles, helping companies and establishments prepare to use the system now or in the future. Confirming or updating information and completing registration remain subject to user permissions.

What should I do if I do not have permission to update the details?

Please coordinate with the user authorized to manage your company’s or establishment’s Salary Services to complete the required action or contact the bank through customer support channels or submit Digital banking request.

Is self onboarding available for a limited period

No. The self-onboarding option will remain permanently available.
