Al-Tijari" Distributes Iftar Meals to Workers on Arafah Day

In line with the spiritual atmosphere of Arafah Day, and out of the Bank’s endeavors to share  this blessed occasion with the workers, the Bank distributed Iftar meals to construction and cleaning workers at a busy workers location near one of the mosques. This initiative came  within Bank’s ongoing "Hawwen Alaihom” Campaign.

Commenting on the initiative, Amani Al-Wara’a, Deputy General Manager - Corporate Communications Division, said: "the vast majority of Muslims are keen to fast on Arafah Day. This inspired the idea of distributing Iftar meals to cleaning and construction workers as part of the Bank’s 'Hawwen Alaihom' Campaign."

Al-Wara’a added that the "Hawwen Alaihom" Campaign, which specifically targets cleaning and construction workers, aims to engage with this segment on various occasions – including sharing the joy of having Iftar meals on Arafah Day and celebrating Eid Al-Adha with them. The goal is to alleviate the burdens they face and bring happiness to their hearts. She emphasized that the expressions of contentment and joy seen on their faces during the Iftar meals distribution and Eid celebration with them gives a meaningful and motivating message. It is a driving force for the Bank’s commitment to giving more support and care.

Amani Al-Wara’a expressed her thanks to all Bank volunteers participating in the Campaign. She noted that the Campaign, launched several years ago, has won the Pioneering Social Project Award at the GCC level and continues to extend a helping hand to cleaning and construction workers – a segment that really deserves all the care and support.
