Commercial Bank of Kuwait Donating U$ 2 Million to the Earthquake- Affected People in Turkey and Syria

In the aftermath of the Earthquake that has recently struck Turkey and Syria and caused devastating losses in lives and property, Commercial Bank of Kuwait donates US Dollar 2 Millions divided equally between the two aggrieved dear countries: The Republics of Turkey and the Arab Republic of Syrian.  The donation amount shall be channeled through Kuwait Red Crescent Society to deliver and ensure it is routed to relief efforts for earthquake- affected people as part of the social responsibility efforts extended by Commercial Bank of Kuwait.

The Bank’s donation comes within the framework of the supreme directives of His Highness, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, May Allah bless him, to support those affected by the earthquake in Turkey and northern Syria. The donation as well comes within the Bank’s strong belief in the importance of giving hand, support and showing solidarity to those affected by the earthquake to enhance relief efforts. All such endeavors reflect Kuwait brotherly response and humanitarian initiatives launched by the State of Kuwait on both people and official levels to mitigate the devastating implications of the earthquake.

In addition to the Bank direct donation to those affected by the disaster, the Bank has also initiated arrangements with charitable societies participating in the “Double Your Reward with Al-Tijari” Campaign. Thus, the amounts of the donations made by the customers will be routed to the Al-Salam Association for Humanitarian Charity, the Patients’ Helping Fund Society and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society to the earthquake- affected people and victims. Needless to say that under this campaign, the Bank donates an amount equal to the one donated by any customer.

We, at the Commercial Bank of Kuwait, firmly accentuate standing with and supporting our brothers in this catastrophe. We pray to Allah to ease their suffering and to reward the deceased; victims of the earthquake, gathering them with the righteous believers and the martyrs in paradise.
