Investment Department is responsible for managing a wide range of diversified and non-correlated assets for CBK's proprietary book. Its highly qualified and professional staff has in-depth investment knowledge and experience to manage these investments. All investment activities of the Bank are carried out under the investment guidelines of Central Bank of Kuwait.
TIJARI FUNDS: In addition to managing Bank's investment portfolio, Investment Department has been active in the area of Fund Management. Over the years, Tijari Funds have delivered excellent returns to investors. These Funds cover a wide range of market sectors and themes.
Tijari Investment Fund Was launched in May 2002. The Fund invests in quality stocks of Kuwait Companies listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. Fund is conservatively managed and generally outperforms during difficult market times.
Tijari Money Market Fund Was launched in September 2002. It is one of the best performing among all competing Funds in its class in Kuwait. Fund offers investors a real alternative to deposits whilst providing a high degree of security and liquidity.
Tijari GCC Equity Fund Was launched in December 2005. Its performance, since launch, has been in line with GCC equity markets. This Fund mainly invests in the large cap and high growth quality stocks of the GCC region.
Tijari Islamic Fund Was launched in July 2006. The Fund invests in the Sharia compliant companies listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. Fund is conservatively managed and has performed exceedingly well.
Tijari India Fund Was launched in January 2007. Provides an opportunity to investors to participate and benefit from the booming Indian economy. In an innovative diversification mode, this Fund invests in other Funds that invest in Indian Equity markets.
Tijari Islamic Money Market Fund Was launched in December 2007. The Fund invests in Islamic money market instruments and debt instruments such as Money Market Funds, Murabahas and Sukuks. The Fund provides investors an opportunity to benefit from investing in this relatively liquid & Sharia compliant Fund and to achieve relatively superior returns within the acceptable risk parameters.
