Al Tijari sponsors the Radisson Blu 16th Annual Art Competition
The Commercial Bank of Kuwait sponsored Radisson Blu's 16th Annual ِArt Competition that was held on the 7th of May 2011 at the Hashemi Ballroom. Children from numerous private schools in Kuwait from the ages of 12 to 18 years old were allowed to participate and the theme for this year was Kuwait's Glorious Occasions.
For the second year in a row, Al Tijari customers of My First Account were also allowed to participate and compete with the private schools and centers for children with special needs. This unique competition has been going on successfully for the past sixteen years since it encourages students from different schools in Kuwait to develop their artistic talent and creativity. The topic chosen this year is perfect since Kuwait recently had a huge celebration to commemorate its 50 years of independence, 20 years since its Liberation and five years since His Highness The Emir became the ruler of Kuwait.
A selection committee chose 15 of the best paintings, including two from the special needs schools and five from the participants who have the My First Account out of more than 250 paintings. The 5 winners from Al Tijari received a cash price that was deposited in their existing My First Account and a free ticket to watch the latest IMAX movie at The Scientific Center while the rest received new My First Account or @Tijari accounts with a cash deposit. All of the paintings are available to be bought and all the proceeds go to the World Childhood Foundation.

CBK and KNES Raise Money To Help Relief Efforts In Japan
The Commercial Bank of Kuwait was one of the proud sponsors of the Kuwait National English School annual Fun Day on 16th April 2011. The yearly event is a family-oriented charity occasion filled with games, rides, entertainment, vendors and food for purchase. This year, CBK insisted in sponsoring the Fun Day since all the money raised will be donated to the relief effort in Japan to assist those left homeless or orphaned following the devastating tsunami and earthquakes.
Members from the Sales team set up a booth during the event to raise awareness of the bank's kids and youth accounts which are perfect to help parents and their children save money and ensure that they are well-prepared for the future, especially with CBK's high interest rate and exclusive benefits for its customers. Additionally, Sales staff informed visitors of the KNES Fun Day of the newly revamped AlNajma account which has the biggest daily draw in Kuwait of KD7,000 daily plus four mega draws worth KD100,000 each.

First Account customers celebrate the end of the summer season at Aqua Park

The Commercial Bank of Kuwait organized an end of the summer festival by inviting My First Account customers to spend a full day at Aqua Park with their families and enjoy countless water and sports activities as well as recreational activities that were designed specially for this occasion, which included cartoon characters for kids and an amazing magician show. The My First Account partners offered valuable items and free gifts exclusively for customers who attended this event.
The event was a great success with hundreds of children and their parents attending and spent a special day filled with lots fun and joy.
This celebration comes within the bank's policy to pay great attention to the children and youth segment. The bank is keen in preparing leisure activities that contribute giving joy and pleasure to its customers, especially children, in addition to educational activities that refine and develop their talents and creativity.
Many of the bank's staff, especially from the Marketing & Research department and the Public Relations department and Sales staff were present to welcome the customers and organize the activities which contributed to the success of this Open Day.

This year CBK customers of My First Account were also allowed to participate and to compete with the private schools and the centers for children with special needs as well. This unique competition has been going on successfully for the past fifteen years since it encourages students from different school in Kuwait to develop their artistic talent and creativity. The topic chosen this year is also very important which focus has been recently under the slogan: less paper… more green.
A selection committee selected 15 of the best paintings, including 3 from the special needs schools out of more than 200 paintings. The 5 winners from CBK received a cash price that was deposited in their existing My First Account while the rest received new @Tijari accounts with a cash deposit. Some of the paintings were sold and all the proceeds went to the World Childhood Foundation.
